The 2009 NZU Rowing Champs will be held at Lake Ruataniwha, Twizel on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th April. Heat will be held on Saturday and finals on Sunday.

2007 Events2007 NZU Rowing Championships in association with Hotel AshburtonThe 2007 New Zealand University Shield and Tamaki Cup races (the Mens and Womens Championship Eights) will be held on the Waimakariri River.
Main Regatta DRAFT Events Schedule
2006 EventsNZU Rowing Champs (part of the NZU Games), Wanganui/Wellington - AprilThe 2006 NZ University Rowing Championships, the rowing component of the 2006 New Zealand University Games, will be held in Wanganui on Saturday 15th April.The regatta will be held on the Saturday, with Sunday 16th April being the reserve day in case weather or other problems cause a postponement. The NZU trials will be held in Wanganui on Sunday 16th April, and the World University Rowing Champs trials will be held at Lake Karapiro on the Monday.
Further information about the regatta will be available on this website around March 12th. If you'd like to compete at the NZU Rowing Champs, contact either your local campus rowing club or Gerard O'Flynn (021 948 892).
Trans Tasman Test Series, Australia - JulyDuring the first week of July, in either Sydney or Melbourne, New Zealand Universities crews will race their Australian counterparts in a 3 race series. The first 2 races will be over 2km and the last will be 5km in length. The crews racing will be heavyweight mens and womens eights, a lightweight mens coxed four and a lightweight womens quad.
Trials for the NZ University crews will be held in Wanganui, the day after the NZU Rowing Championships. Further information and nomination forms will be available on this website around March 12th.
World University Rowing Champs, Lithuania - August In 2006 the World University Rowing Championships will be held in Trakai, Lithuania from 11th to 13th August.
World Uni Rowing Champs Events (limit one crew per country per event): Crews will be selected based on performance against prognostic times. Only crews meeting the required standard will be selected to compete. Further information and nomination forms will be available on this website around March 12th.

I-Lan International Collegiate Invitational Regatta, Taiwan - SeptemberThe I-Lan regatta is held every year on the Tung Shan river in I-Lan County, Taiwan. Lightweight mens eights and lightweight womens quads are invited from universities all over the world, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Hamburg, Keio, Waseda, Sydney, Melbourne, Warsaw, Toronto and others.
Each year, Otago University is invited to send a lightweight mens eight to compete in Taiwan. For further information, contact Glen Sinclair at the Otago University Rowing Club on 03 477 1060.
